A Walk of Freedom

Freedom for a cancer victim is health and life. For an alcoholic, it's no longer being addicted to alcohol. Someone hooked on prescription drugs is free when able to walk past the medicine cabinet with no desire for painkillers. Financial freedom is never worrying about money again, because all our needs are met in Christ Jesus. Freedom is when sin has no more power over us. This amazing freedom is found in the presence of the Spirit of the Lord.

The Conversion of An Extreme Terrorist

I felt like I could not do anything more. I had spoken for forty minutes and the Pastors from all over Tanzania did not respond the way I had expected. It had been so open earlier in the week, but now I felt I was not getting through. So as I concluded the message, I thought that I missed it. Nothing was going to happen. Then I did something unusual. I just opened the Bible to Isaiah 53, and began to read. I SIMPLY just read the Word. When I started the second verse, it suddenly happened. As the Word declares, it's "not by might nor by power but by My Spirit".

Healing through the Gift of Righteousness

Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them. Luke 5:17
Reading stories in the Bible usually have more than one meaning. Most often stories have deeper spiritual connotations by which we understand the covenants of God.
As I share this story from the Gospel of Luke, I want to look at the deeper meaning that helps us better understand the blessings of what Christ has given us.
In this scripture, we see that the POWER of the Lord was present to heal all that gathered to hear Jesus.
